There are 4
components in a solar power system - panels, regulators, batteries and a
secure storage box. We provide mounting systems for solar
panels easily
constructed from
Unirac systems.
All units are 24V DC
Solar Panels
In Europe we use
Solartec panels, usually single 24V
180 W panels, are
sufficient, but the power can be altered depending on specific
requirements. In the USA we use other suppliers for complete solar kits.

Regulator
We use either the
Steca PR 20-20 IP or the
Steca Solarix ST as both are IP rated
for outdoor use, have an easy display and are simple to connect.
Batteries
For prolonged battery life
in winter, we need to use two 135 Ah sealed gel batteries. These are
usually high specification deep cycle renewable energy batteries,
for example the
Rolls series.
Battery Boxes
These are either steel or
plastic boxes, depending on the level of security required.
Floating Raft systems
These are constructed and
delivered to site on a trailer ready for deployment in the
waterbody. they are held in place by high strength anchors and
heavyweight chain suitable for winds up to 80 mph winds. Examples are at
